New Year’s Eve with IKEA

Setting up and celebrating the New Year is always an exciting thing for many people. It brings together family and friends and of course it’s always surrounded by fun!
 So when IKEA came to help us get into the festive season, we couldn’t have been more excited! 
It was a day of upbeat music, well picked decorations and the most beautiful lights that filled the lab with the perfect ambience to share the celebration.

We made sure that we chose decorations to fit perfectly with the lab, including what we considered the most original pieces, as we love sourcing unique things from around the world.

First we prepared the food to eat with our dearest friends. IKEA made this super easy for us with everything they offer. We made savoury wraps, crackers with dips, fresh lemonade and more. Two of the best things we could ask for: good food, in good company!

As this time of the year is full of celebrations with food, we couldn’t help but make the sweet stuff, too. Traditional pepparkakor biscuits, layered with cream and berries. Don’t forget to make a wish before you eat them!

After having our drinks and nibbles it was time to use the oven. Marinated salmon began to cook, and the room began to smell delicious!

We set up and added the final touches to our perfect dinner table. We love natural light and when it turns to night our favourite thing to use is candles, in which IKEA offers the perfect selection!

Looking into the lab from the outside, We anticipated our guests arrival excitedly.

IKEA couldn’t have helped us make this dinner more perfect. Using their products  created the perfect environment for the most exciting time of the year.
